I started editing videos in 2006. I discovered Windows Movie Maker on my dads laptop in the 8th grade, and created a video montage that I forced all of my friends and teachers to watch in a science class on the last day of school. And yes, it was set to Graduation (Friends Forever) by Vitamin C. In retrospect, I was much bolder as an 8th grader. As I grew, I never stopped editing videos for fun- always favoring capturing moments in video over still imagery. I spent summers collecting multiple SD cards full of memories with my friends and cousins, then showing them movies of our memories together on the last day of summer, or the morning of graduation.
While my love for video editing sustained, my commitment to it wavered and after college I found myself looking for ‘practical’ work in a 9-5 Corporate setting. I love the work I do there, and I don’t intend to leave it behind. I do, however, fully intend to feed the passion for storytelling that has always lived here. With Carrdi Films I aim to capture meaningful moments, and edit them together so that viewers can look back and feel something. Whether it makes you feel like you’re back inside a memory, or inspires you to go create a new one- I hope to create edits that move you somehow.
